1. What is the best/your favorite part about working in construction?
My favorite part of working in the construction industry is the daily challenges and the people that pull together to overcome them. Every project is unique, with design and logistic issues to resolve. Working as a team to resolve those challenges is part of everyday life. We collaborate with each other to accomplish our goal to provide successful projects. In my 40-years in the industry, that daily collaboration with talented people has made my career REWARDING and a joy. You see the great minds that come together to build progress in our world, and it makes you feel as you are truly part of something special. 

2. What is the biggest/most impactful change you have seen in this industry since you started?
The change from plan/spec to the design/build delivery system has been the most impactful change I’ve seen since I’ve been in the industry. I think that change required us all to respect the expertise of others in the industry to find solutions. It demanded teamwork and a culture of going beyond the norm to be unique and competitive. Cooper’s leadership was a trailblazer in conforming to the design/build trend in the Steel Industry, and I am proud to be a part of that TRAILBLAZING and history.
