When you’re the youngest sibling of four and the only girl, you learn early how to hold your own. That, together with growing up surrounded by incredibly strong women taught me to ignore any limits set by society. By example, the women in my life taught me that hard work, dedication and grit can go hand-in-hand with fairness, kindness and humility. Being a woman in what has been known as a man’s industry may not have been the easy road for women like my grandmother, but we are all better off because they chose it. It is my privilege to continue what they started as one of today’s women in construction.
