Gary Cooper has made the steel business, and the people in it, his life. Since 1979, Gary has been immersed and intimately involved in each aspect of his family business, from his humble beginnings priming steel to his role as CEO and Chairman of the Board. Since he first took leadership in 1988, Gary has recognized, maintained, and championed the values, priorities, and culture and continues to make Cooper Steel a top-level company operated by some of the best the industry has to offer. One of these fundamental values has been the act of putting the customer and their job first, a practice he believes can only be genuinely relayed through both action and consistency.

CORY COOPER

Cory Cooper is the current Chief Operations Officer and has been influential in the company for many years. His career at Cooper Steel started with washing trucks on the weekends to night-shift in the fabrication shop until continuing to full-time in the field in 2007, which consisted of being an ironworker, crane operator, and project manager. He immediately became an asset to the family business with hands-on experience and a unique view of the company and earned his current title in 2020.
