For June`s #ConnectWithCooper, we are thrilled to highlight Angie Couser and the joy she brings to Cooper Steel as the Payroll and Benefits Manager. Thank you for all that you do, Angie!

"As a Benefits and Payroll Manager, I communicate with third-party administrators on behalf of our HR team for insurance, retirement, and payroll needs, making sure all processes run as smoothly as possible. Some of my responsibilities include working to process or resolve insurance claims, billing, coverages, enrollments, pharmacy questions, 401k contributions and distributions, state and local tax accounts, COBRA assistance, HSA accounts, and more. I also work with our third-party administrators to ensure all compliance items for payroll, insurance, and retirement plans are filed in a timely manner.

I began working at Cooper Steel almost 9 years ago. During that time, I’ve seen so much growth with new locations, employees, and in my own team. What I enjoy most about my job is still being involved with our employees and helping them maneuver through all things benefit-related. It makes me happy to see our employees, from just beginning their careers to those who are finishing their careers, being taken care of in every aspect and chapter of their lives.

With our rapid growth and new plant openings over the past few years, our core values have never wavered. Cooper Steel genuinely values their employees, making it an exceptional place to grow both personally and professionally.
